English: This is an official emblem of the University of Delhi with "Elephant, Book and Lotus" with the inscription "निष्ठा धृति: सत्यम्" in Sanskrit. The emblem was conceived by Pt. Lachmi Dhar Kalla (1891–1953), Founder Head of the then Department of Oriental Languages of university. The current version (as vector graphics) was re-drawn by Dr. Sanjay Kapoor of the department of Plant Molecular Biology, University of Delhi South Campus in 2014

You must also include a United States public domain tag to indicate why this work is in the public domain in the United States. Note that this work might not be in the public domain in countries that do not apply the rule of the shorter term and have copyright terms longer than life of the author plus 60 years.
