हिम नदी हिउँको नदी हो। हिमालयमा जम्मा भएको हिउँ विस्तारै होचो सतह तर्फ सरेर बग्ने गर्दछ त्यसलाई हिमनदी भनिन्छ। हिमनदीको बहाब नदीको जस्तो तीब्र नभै एकदमै धिमा गतिको हुन्छ। दिनक १ मीटर देखि २० मीटर सम्मको गतिमा हिमनदी बग्ने गर्दछ।
खुम्बु हिमनदी विश्वकै सबैभन्दा उचाईमा रहेको हिमनदी मानिन्छ।
