-{{ The D-cine Award is among the most prominent film award ceremonies in Nepal Established in 2007 A.D, it has been administered, along with the film festival in Nepal and D-cine Awards in the Nepali panorama, by the Who's who of film industry since 2007. Every year a national level panel appointed by the Nepali Film Development Committee, a Governmental Body, selects the winning entry and the award ceremony is held in Kathmandu Nepal, where the most sought film personalities and VIPs presents the award to the winners. This is followed by the inauguration of the National film festival, where the award winning films are screened for the public which are produced and released in the last year across the country. They hold the distinction of award merit to the best of Nepal cinema. As well as presenting awards for the best films in each region and language of the country. Due to the national scale of the D-cine Award, it is considered as the International Level Nepali Award Ceremony.

Started in December 2000 A.D, as of 2006 A.D, it was top film Magazines of Nepal. Filmy Khabar Newspaper and D-Cine award belongs to Chayachhabi Pvt. Ltd. It was originally started by the president of Nepali film Journalist Association Mr. Shantipriya. Mr Suman Dahal was the first editor in chief of the magazine.

-The Chayachabi Company was launched in 2000 AD. And was previously known as Chhayachhabi Patrika until 2006 A.D, when it was renamed and the news and entertainment units where spun off into four smaller divisions. Chhayachhabi currently operate over 15 different TV shows and magazines and awards channels, a cable company site cable, record label filmykhabar patrika, a production company and other business as well. It has expended operations abroad, with several of its branches available in the UK and US as well as Africa and Asia. In 2007 A.D Chhayachhabi acquired a majority stake (51%) in Publications. In 2008 they acquired integrated subscriber magazine service limited and in November 2008 Chhayachhabi acquired an interest (50%) in publication.

Nominated list of six members from each category is prepared by jury committee and publicized. Out of six members nominated from each category only one person shall be awarded. Priority of nomination in all thirty-six categories is accomplished by their popularity in film field.
