ञिङमा

ञिङमा संप्रदाय तिब्बती बौद्धको चार प्रमुख सम्प्रदाय (अन्य तीन कग्युद, सक्या र गेलुग्स हुन्) मध्ये सबै भन्दा पुरानो संप्रदाय रहेको छ। तिब्बती भाषामा (རྙིང་མ།, ञिङमा भनेको शाब्दिक अर्थलाई नेपालीमा अनुवाद गर्दा "प्राचीन" अथवा "पुरातन" हो, सातौं र आठौं शताब्दीमा भारत, नेपाल, चिन, र तिब्बतका विद्वान अनुवादकहरूले बौद्ध ग्रन्थ तिब्बतीमा अनुवाद गर्नु भएदेखि यस सम्प्रदायको स्थापित भएकोले ञिङमा संप्रदायको विस्तृत नाम (तिब्बती: སྔ་འགྱུར་རྙིང་མ།., Wylie: snga 'gyur rnying ma, नेपाली: ङग्युर ञिङमा "पुर्वानुदित प्राचीन संप्रदाय",) हो।[[१]]
