कविता एक प्रकारको कलाको रुप र साहित्यको एक विधा हो। कवितालाई शब्दहरूका गुण, तिनका लम्बाई र ध्वनी, अनि तिनका अर्थहरूका माध्यमले कलात्मक बनाईन्छ। Poetry can take many forms (haiku, thematic, nursery rhymes), and is used to describe many things (comparing, talking about, expressing emotion). It can make sense or be nonsense, it can rhyme or not, and it can be as small as a few words, or as long as a book (an epic). It takes many shapes and sizes, it can be serious, or it can be funny.
