Usage[सम्पादन गर्नुहोस्]

This template is put at the top of a biographical article to explain to readers which part of a name is the family name.

This template has one required parameter, and multiple optional parameters:

|1=, required, the surname or family name of the subject.
|2=, optional, triggers different text based on the language (see below). Required for |lang=Manchu
|3=, optional, for transliterated names or there are multiple name types
|nd=, optional, use this parameter for Dutch names when a marital name is involved
|lang=, optional, the country/origin of the name; links to related articles if they exist

Supported languages[सम्पादन गर्नुहोस्]

The |lang= parameter will trigger a link to <lang> name (for example, Arabic name) if the page exists. Exceptions are listed below:

Second parameter[सम्पादन गर्नुहोस्]

The second parameter triggers different wording depending on the language.


Language	Example Output
Argentine Dutch (if `\|nd=y`)	यो लेखमा, पारिवारिक नाम birth थर ' Noordewier' and the marital name is Reddingius हो।
Catalan	यो लेखमा, पारिवारिक नाम first or paternal थर ' Miró' and the second or maternal family name is Ferrà; both are generally joined by the conjunction "i" हो।
Congolese	यो लेखमा, पारिवारिक नाम थर ' Tshisekedi' and the post-surname is Tshilombo हो।
Spanish	यो लेखमा, पारिवारिक नाम first or paternal थर ' Gómez' हो।
Basque Galician	यो लेखमा, पारिवारिक नाम first थर ' Arana' and the second is Goiri हो।
Chinese Chinese Indonesian	यो लेखमा, पारिवारिक नाम family name ' Han' and Su is a generation name हो।
Dutch (no `\|nd=`) Germanic Romance	यो लेखमा, पारिवारिक नाम थर ' Van der Sar' , not Sar हो।
Korean	यो लेखमा, पारिवारिक नाम family name ' Lee' . In the stage name or pen-name, the surname is Han हो।
Slavic Turkic	यो लेखमा, पारिवारिक नाम थर ' Wołkowski' , sometimes transliterated as Wolkowski हो।
Cambodian^[क] Hmong Vietnamese^[ख]	यो लेखमा, पारिवारिक नाम थर ' Phan' हो। In accordance with Vietnamese custom, this person should be referred to by the given name, Khải.
Manchu^[ग]	यो लेखमा, पारिवारिक नाम उपनाम ' Oboi' हो। In accordance with Manchu custom, it should be used alone or with titles but not with the clan name Gūwalgiya.
Ottoman Turkish^[घ]	यो Ottoman Turkish style nameमा, पारिवारिक नाम उपनाम ' Osman Hamdi' , the title is Bey, and there is no family name हो।
Mongolian^[ङ]	यो लेखमा, पारिवारिक नाम उपनाम ' Tsedenbal' हो। Yumjaagiin is a patronymic, not a family name.
All others	"A, not B": यो लेखमा, पारिवारिक नाम थर ' Wilson' , not Clark हो।

Third parameter[सम्पादन गर्नुहोस्]

With the exception of |lang=Toponymic, the third parameter is used for transliterated names and/or a second name type

Toponymic	यो English nameमा, पारिवारिक नाम toponymic surname ' London' हो। It is not a family name, and the person should be referred to by the given name, Edward.
Ottoman Turkish^[क]	यो Ottoman Turkish style nameमा, पारिवारिक नाम उपनाम ' Ali' , the title is Pasha, and the family name is Çandarlızade हो।
Manchu Vietnamese	यो लेखमा, पारिवारिक नाम थर ' Ngô' , but is often simplified to Ngo in English-language text हो। In accordance with Vietnamese custom, this person should be referred to by the given name, Diệm.
