No license on files

Hi Michael,

I didn't get what you wanted to tell. The uploader will know that he didn't add a license. If its his own work, he can add a license. For example in the above image the uploader Krish Dulal can add a license if its his own work, add an appropriate license if there is one. We can always delete it if there is no license at all. So there will be lesser chances of loosing content, because Its very rare that people in Nepali Wiki would upload images, or its harder to generate content. So we would not like to risk loosing content so quick unless its a copyright violation. Sorry about that :-D The question was if "Delete file" was enough or it was better to use a special template (for example "Delete file (no license)" where it was possible to add further information. Ah, Okay I think the later would be better "Delete file (no license)" or with additional information. Whatever you think or any new innovative, better ideas :) You're always welcome with that. And I think its good that content are uploaded in Commons. It will increase reusability. I remember I wanted to reuse some of the images in hiwiki and they were not available in commons and I wished someone would upload them. Once you have some time perhaps you could have a look at the files in श्रेणी:Wikipedia files with a different name on Wikimedia Commons and श्रेणी:Wikipedia files with the same name on Wikimedia Commons. Files uploaded without a license

Hi!

Thank you for uploading files to Wikipedia.

One or more of the files you have uploaded have no license. All files on Wikipedia needs a license (विकिपीडिया:चित्र कपीराइट ट्याग) and a source (for example "Own work", "I took this photo" or a link to a website).

If you took the photo you can choose the license you prefer - for example {{self|Cc-by-sa-3.0}}. If you did not take the photo then you must choose the license the copyrightholder selected and make a link to where the license is mentioned. If it is from a website and the website does not mention a license then the file is not free.

You can see all the files without a license in श्रेणी:Delete (both your uploads and the uploads made by other users) or you can see your uploads in विशेष:ListFiles/RajeshPandey (also those with a license).

Files with a free license should be uploaded to Commons so the photos can be used on other languages of Wikipedia.

Hi, Rajesh. Thanks for your email. I'd like to reply here so it will be released under CC-BY-SA 3.0 & GFDL so that you can "share this in the community".

You should first keep in mind that images and media must be licensed under a free content license of some kind. Acceptable licenses are discussed at <http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Commons:Licensing>; images and media without source information or clear license status will be deleted.

To upload a picture:

1. Login (or create a username if you don't have one)
2. Click on "upload file" in the sidebar (Commons:Special:UploadWizard)
3. Select the file from your computer that you want to upload
4. Select a descriptive name for the image
5. Select the appropriate license for the file (Note: Some Acceptable Copyright tags are currently not available in Commons:Special:UploadWizard. You can select another copyright tag during the upload process and replace it with the correct one after you have uploaded.)

You might also find our editing instructions (en:Help:Editing) and tutorial on using images (en:Wikipedia:Picture tutorial) helpful.

Rajeshjee, We are still reading and writing ड & ढ with (.) in Darjeeling and Sikkim pronouncing as अड़ & अढ, ड़ is used in the word like लड़ाई, झगड़ा etc. And ढ with . is used in the word like पढाई, चढाई etc. I am very much sure about this. And I don't know about Nepal. I think in Nepal also Nepali is spoken & read differently from west to east & south to the north. Please conform about this character by consulting dictionary published by प्रज्ञा प्रतिष्ठान and other important institution. Bhawaniji, Thanks for letting me know about this. We never knew that these characters( ड & ढ with (.) ) are used in Indian Nepali(Nepali spoken in Darjeeling and Sikkim), (Sorry that I had to separate out as Nepali spoken in India and Nepal, but I could not have explained better without this.) I didn't know about these issues. I thought that the Nepali characters that is written and taught in Nepali textbooks and used in Prints might be exactly the same elsewhere including India. This shows that we have differences in the way we write in Darjeeling, Sikkim and in Nepal. Yes you are right that people speak differently even inside Nepal, but because of the Government textbooks and centralized print media, the locals are limited to spoken only. In a long run, the local languages might have merged because of the increased communication with Television, radio, newspapers and internet. You are right about how people speak and read, but for the written things, we can normalize or follow those things from the center. I am not sure because its a part of a long debate, and even two linguists might have different views within a single thing for instance merging and removing the characters in क्ष ञ ज्ञ. May be that's why the recent meeting in Lalitpur might have shown anger towards the internet community for using non standard Nepali. But we still don't know what the "standard" is. So I think we need to be neutral in this case and keep the debates aside (as per neutral point of view ), but we can continue our discussions on some other platforms for our references. Hello Rajesh ji! I've been renamed wrongly by you. The spellings of my requested username are not read properly. I requested for "itar buttar" (I know first letter may not be small) but you renamed me as "Itar Buttar" totally wrong. "b" is not capital. Please rename me to "itar buttar". Please please please help me as I'm feeling my SUL destroying. Please rename me to "itar buttar" (you may say that the first letter, I, is always capital but the "b" is never capital).
